Managed Search Reporting: Results
What this service does well, and where it does not.
Before you read the results
Being built now. It is not open for orders and we are not promising a date, because we do not have one to promise.
What follows is what this service does well and where it falls short. Both lists are real. The second one is not there for balance, it is there because you will meet it.
Good results
Bad results, and where it disappoints
- It needs your Google Analytics and Search Console connected. Without them there is no first-party data, and one of the lower tiers is the right choice instead.
- It is weekly, on a schedule. It is not something you trigger the moment you want to know something, which is what the one-off tiers are for.
- A section that cannot be grounded in real evidence is dropped rather than guessed at, so some weeks carry fewer sections than others. That is correct behaviour and it is still a visible difference week to week.
- If a report fails to generate there is currently no consolidated alert, so a missed report can be noticed by the client before it is noticed by us. This is the top item on the improvement list and it is not fixed.
- It is the managed tier, so it is part of a platform package rather than something bought as a single run.
