Technical Help by the Hour: Results

What this service does well, and where it does not.

What to expect

Before you read the results

Being built now. It is not open for orders and we are not promising a date, because we do not have one to promise.

What follows is what this service does well and where it falls short. Both lists are real. The second one is not there for balance, it is there because you will meet it.

Good results

  • Billed by the hour, so a small piece of work stays a small bill
  • Covers the gap the tools cannot: joining them up, and fitting them to how you actually work
  • The person doing it built the tools, so nothing has to be explained twice
  • Will tell you when a standard tool already does what you are asking to have built

Bad results, and where it disappoints

  • It is time, not a product. A large build should be scoped rather than run on an open clock
  • If the work turns out to be genuinely bespoke and substantial, that is Studio and we will say so
  • It depends on access to your systems. Where that cannot be granted, the work stalls
